On being a good person
Perhaps, one defining characteristic of a good person is their ability and willingness to let others be, without any empty intention of influencing.
At times, we see people influencing another member of the human race, as if it is an act of projection of superiority and upper hand toward the absorbent others. By absorbent others, we mean the beginners or perceived beginners and inexperienced.
We need to understand that pieces of advice, no matter good or bad, when not sought is an act of criticism. Always. We should live with the unwritten rule that pieces of advice are not freely given; they are sought.
What we, sane members of society, should be doing is finding a middle ground: it is approaching another human being without overstepping ourselves toward the lines of their individuality and subjectivity. Part of this is giving — no, “giving” is an understatement; “adorning” — others with the presumption of literacy and know-how, for they are not born yesterday.
It is the act of seeing the good in others, no matter how Absurdism dictates otherwise.
